Sandakan 'The Story That Must Be Told'
The Cannery Arts Centre and the Borneo Exhibition Group inc. WA invite you to the opening of the highly acclaimed WW2 exhibition, Borneo 1942 - 1945, Sandakan, 'The Story That Must Be Told.'
This poignant gallery of historic details relates to the atrocities committed on allied POWs who were captured in Singapore at the time of the Japanese occupation and then sent to Borneo in 1942.
The exhibition will specifically cover their transportation, incarceration and inhuman treatment as prisoners of war sent to build roads and airfields in Sandakan, Borneo.
Join us for an official opening at the Cannery Arts Centre Cliffs Gallery on Sunday the 5th August at 5.30pm.
